Ok Hee Jeong

Ok Hee Jeong is a dance researcher, educator, and critic. As a former member of the Universal Ballet Company in South Korea and the Guangzhou City Ballet in China, she earned Ph.D. in dance at Temple University, U.S., and wrote a dissertation that explores the influence of media on the ways dance is preserved and represented in the North American dance field. Jeong has published researches and books, including Lives of Dances (2020) and The Evolving Ballet Class (2022). Her research interests include otherness, dance media, ballet, and performativity. Jeong is currently a visiting professor at Ewha Womans University.
